Default First Time N/Me Build Help

Right now, I'm a level 7 Necromancer and just recently started playing Guild Wars (Prophecies), and I need help on my first character's build. I'm sure I won't need any help after about my third character since I'll by then (hopefully :P) know how the skills/classes/ect. go together... Anyway, back to what I was saying, I have a level 7 Necromancer/Mesmer with (maybe) 7 skill points and 30 unused attribute points. I know it sounds crazy, being level 7 and haven't even used a single skill point or attribute point, but I've learned from past games that I usually screw up my build if I try to decide how to distribute my points on my first character without help. Basically, I need a few suggestions on a build for me (including attribute point allocations/ maybe skills too). I understand I can't do a invinci-monk necromancer or a minion whatever (I tried looking up some builds). I tried looking up some builds before coming here, but I couldn't find one that both gave me the point allocations and the proper fitting build for my character. Any suggestions and help would be great!

In Guild Wars, it doesn't matter where you put your points. You can redistribute them when in an outpost.
With that in mind, feel free to experiment. You're level 7, you don't need to worry about proper builds yet. You can get away with a lot in the early stages of Prophecies.

As a necromancer it is always important to spec highly into Soul Reaping - that line gives you an edge other caster classes don't have.

It's very hard to recommend good builds to a level 7 character, but I will say this:
The curses line is very powerful and as you progress through the game (after reaching level 20), this is the line I recommend the most.
Death Magic is largely a Minion line. It'll probably get you through the majority of Proph very easily but can get very boring to run.
Blood Magic is perhaps, the weakest line. It'll work and may feel like an attractive option. Don't worry, it will get you through the game in Normal Mode.

Thanks! I had no idea that you could redistribute your points, so I guess by what you're saying, besides skills, I could theoretically change my build at any given time? I'll try to go by what you're saying with the soul reaping and curses. I'll dabble with death magic, as its my primary source of damage besides blood magic. So as to what you're saying, I'm supposed to mainly be focusing on building up my curses, and death magic as to hit stronger and... Such, its hard to grasp right now, but I think I'm getting used to this, but it might take me awhile longer to fully understand how to use my character!

You can change your skills in an outpost as well.

.

I Agree with SynHeart exept for a slight downplay on death magic. During early play it will be the most powerful skill set to spec in.

A curses Necro at low levels barely gets to use the power of the attribute while minions (death magic) are always going to be out there as damage dealers and a nice meat shield. I think that around 8-9 the minion level will jump by 2 for 1 attribute point and fall back to 1 level/attribute after that.

If running minions, skills like dark bond will keep you alive and take alot of pressure off the healer. Death nove can be a great damage dealer but it is used to greater effect by a hero MM.

When you get to the low-mid teens the curses power realy starts to shine. When possible, a hero (when you get them) will run a MM bar far more efficiently.

GL and enjoy a great game

A build really doesn't matter until you're level 20. Then you can find a build you like:
